ZTE Axon news: Max variant announced: device to release before 2015 ends


The long rumored ZTE Axon Max smartphone is finally a reality, as the company recently revealed that they will be releasing the smartphone soon.

According to a report by The Gadgets Freak, ZTE announced the new Axon Max smartphone following the previous announcement of the Axon Mini. While the device is now officially coming, details about the Axon max remain scarce, besides the fact that the company confirmed that it will come with a bigger display size as well as a bigger battery capacity.

As per rumors about the Axon max, the device may come with a build made of the same aircraft-grade aluminum material used in the Axon Mini. It may come with a 6-inch display with a 2560 x 1440 pixels 2K/Quad HD resolution. A 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor is expected, along with an octa-core CPU and an Adreno 430 GPU. It packs 4 GB of RAM, but the internal storage capacity is still unknown. Whether or not the Axon Max will have support for an external microSD expansion is also unknown as of the moment.

As for the camera, a 13 megapixels one for the main rear camera is expected. Values are still undetermined for the front facing camera.

Just like other ZTE Axon smartphones, the new Axon Max will also boast of a wide range of biometrics reader features. It is expected that it will have a fingerprint scanner embedded on it, as well as the Voice Control features in locking/unlocking the phone as well as certain features. Moreover, an Eye Scanner authentication feature may be included.

The inclusion on Dual Microphones as well as a dedicated AKM 4961 Hi-Fi audio chip for better audio experience is also expected. A battery capacity of more than 3000 mAh may come powering the device.

ZTE has not announced an official release date yet, but has confirmed that the device will come before 2015 ends. Rumor has it that Exclusive and VIP packages for the Axon Max will be available.
