Singer Zayn Malik has finally spilled the beans and inadvertently confirmed the speculations that he and supermodel Gigi Hadid are in a relationship.
In his interview on “Zach Sang and The Gang,” Malik was asked by one of co-hosts about his experience shooting the music video for his single “Pillowtalk” with his “girlfriend,” alluding to Hadid.
The co-host got the answer straight from the horse’s mouth, so to speak, when Malik replied, “Uh, yeah. That was cool. It was something different … We enjoyed it. It was fun.”
Rumors about Malik and Hadid playing romantic music together surfaced in November last year when they were spotted together in L.A. Later, it was reported that Hadid was seen visiting the former One Direction member in London just in time for the Holidays.
According to E! News, a source had told them that both Malik and Hadid are serious about their relationship. The source added that the supermodel was excited after Malik himself asked her to be a part of his music video. Even if both of them acted professional on the set, it was apparent that they were both in love, said the source.
The source continued saying that Hadid’s relationship with Malik is way different from that she had with Joe Jonas, which came in shambles in November last year, despite many people thinking that they were serious with the sweet music they were playing together.
“Her friends think this (Hadid’s relationship with Malik) is going to last,” the incognito source said.
Meanwhile, the “Pillowtalk” music video where Malik and Hadid’s romance reportedly blossomed has already garnered more than 46 million views on YouTube as of this writing. “Pillowtalk” is Malik’s first solo single since he left One Direction last year.
Just a week after he released the single, Malik also made its acoustic version available on iTunes, which MTV.com has described as simpler than the original version but just as sexy. The version also features the singer’s falsetto vocal prowess.
