Xiaomi recently released yet another budget-friendly yet powerful piece of tech. This time, the company is offering multimedia accessories and has launched the new Xiaomi Mi Bluetooth Speaker.
As detailed by the official MIUI blog, the Mi Bluetooth Speaker comes with a full aluminum body make. It is so compact that is described as a speaker that is “smaller than a pencil case”.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker has a 36mm neodymium driver and is covered in a passive bass radiator to deliver sounds with a high level of clarity. It has a built-in DSP (Digital Signal Processing) which supports up to 19 PEQ segments and 12 limited DRC, all made possible via the integrated Anerva AV3102 chipset. It can reach volumes of up to 90 dB levels at half a meter reach. Additionally, the Mi Bluetooth Speaker has been optimized to deliver constant clarity of sound despite high volumes.
It has a slot for microSD multimedia playing and also has handsfree support, with a built-in mic for easier wireless use when connected to a smartphone.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker is powered by a 1,500 mAh battery, which boasts of up to 8 hours of music playback. It comes in vibrant colors of gold, blue, and pink.
The Mi Bluetooth Speaker is available for only 199 Yuan, or around $31.
Launched alongside the Mi Bluetooth Speaker is the new Xiaomi Mi 4c. The Mi 4c uses the new USB Type-C connector, which lets users insert USB ports in either way, and it also comes with a Type-C adapter for ordinary Micro USB connectors.
More new features of the MI 4c includes the Edge Tap, allowing users to take a photo and go back on processes with just a single tap on the side of the handset. The phone can be also awoken from lock screen by just double tapping on the display. Additionally, the Mi 4c supports infrared connection to the Mi TV, which makes the device serve as a remote for the TV.
The 16 GB variant of the Mi 4c is available for ?1,299, while the 32 GB variant is available for ?1,499.
