A new month is about to begin, which means that those who are subscribed to the Xbox Live Games with Gold program will have a new set of free games that they can enjoy.
For the Xbox One console, players will get “The Wolf Among Us,” an interactive mystery and adventure video game that is like the fairy tale “Little Red Riding Hood” in some concept, but in a more “adult” version as it challenges players to uncover and solve murders. The title, usually sold for $25, will be free during the entire month of April.
Aside from this, “Sunset Overdrive” is also free for the new generation platform from Apr. 15 to May 15. The open world third-person video shooter game is like a combination of skating in a more action-packed scene. Priced at $30 on regular days, the title can be downloaded for free during the indicated time frame.
Meanwhile, Xbox 360 owners will get “Dead Space” for the first half of the month and “Saints Row IV” for the second half of the month. The first title is a science fiction survival horror video game, while the latter trends more toward the action-adventure open world genre. Users of the older platform may save around $15 to $35 on the titles during the month, while the titles are offered for free.
It should be noted as well that Microsoft offers the feature of Backwards Compatibility for its new generation console, which means that in essence, Xbox One users may also download “Dead Space” and “Saints Row IV” for free during the month.
The free titles for April look promising, as all the titles have high ratings ranging from 81 to 89 in Metacritic’s spectrum. This means that the games were well-received by fans when they were launched and most likely continue to be. Microsoft offers the Games with Gold membership subscription for a fee of $60, with new free games coming each month.
