As the month of October comes to a close, fans are already awaiting the next set of free games from Microsoft’s Games with Gold program.
According to Bidness, Telltale Games’ “The Walking Dead: The Complete First Season” will be extended until Nov. 15. It was part of the free games offered in October. The game normally retails for $24.99 and was part of the games that got an almost perfect score from Polygon reviewers.
Fans are also hoping that Microsoft will be offering games from the “Resident Evil” series or “Ryse: Son of Rome.” Also among the list being predicted by those who are subscribed to the Xbox Live with Gold program is “Dead Rising 3” and “Sunset Overdrive.”
Because of the Backward Compatibility, all the recent titles that have become available for Xbox 360 will be available for Xbox One starting this month. Among the titles expected are “Bethesda’s Fallout” series, which may also hype up the interest in the upcoming “Fallout 4.”
Time Warner Inc.’s “Batman Arkham” series or Ubisoft’s “Assassin’s Creed” may also become part of the November titles list.
And because it is so close to Halloween, horror titles may also be offered. Aside from “Resident Evil,” other potential titles include “Silent Hill.” For action games, “Gears of War” is a strong contender.
It can be recalled that Microsoft went all out last year, with titles like “Volgarr the Viking,” “Red Faction: Guerilla,” and “Viva Piata: Trouble in Paradise.”
In order to become part of the Games with Gold program, gamers can sign up for membership on the Xbox website. Microsoft offers one month free access but after the month is up, subscription rates range from $9.98 per month, $24.99 for three months, and $59.99 for 12 months.
