Xbox Games with Gold November 2016: list of free games announced

November is right around the corner which means that brand-new games are already expected to be joining the Xbox Games with Gold library. A couple more days before the next batch of titles roll out, a list of newbies joining the program has already been confirmed.

Coming from the official Xbox website, an article naming four new titles to be included in the roster was published just this week. The lineup includes “Murdered: Soul Suspect,” “Monkey Island: Special Edition,” “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon” and “Super Dungeon Bros.”

“Murdered: Soul Suspect,” which made its debut in 2014, is an adventure mystery stealth video game by Airtight Games. The title is played from a third-person perspective as players wander around the fictionalized city of Salem alongside detective Ronan O’Connor as they hunt down a notorious serial killer. It was received averagely with gripes such as poor combat and lack of replay value. It will be available on the program from Nov. 16 to Dec. 15.

“Monkey Island: Special Edition,” on the other hand, launched in 2009 via exclusive digital distribution. It is a remake of 1990’s point-and-click graphic adventure game and will be live from Nov. 1 to 15.

Meanwhile, “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon” is a comedic first-person shooter video game that arrived in 2013. It was developed by Ubisoft Montreal and is a standalone expansion to 2012’s “Far Cry 3.” It was met with positive reviews from critics and was also a success in the sales department. At one point, it even became the fastest selling downloadable title in Ubisoft’s history. Players can enjoy the title starting Nov. 16 until Nov. 30.

Finally, “Super Dungeon Bros” is a mixture of metal fantasy and “dungeon brawler” which allows gamers to play alongside teammates in order to push through various obstacles. Much like “Far Cry 3: Blood Dragon,” it also offers some sense of humor for its players and it will be accessible for the whole month of November.
