Xbox’s free games subscription program dubbed Games with Gold is now offering a mix of both indie and AAA titles for September and as early as now, fans who still crave for more are wondering what titles will be the next inductees for next month’s list.
Microsoft is still tight-lipped as to what games will be included in October’s list since it’s just almost halfway through the month of September. However, there was a video that was uploaded over four months ago predicting the games that might be filling next month’s free game’s list.
The 35-second clip mostly featured AAA games including “Iron Man 2” from Sega, Ubisoft’s “Watch Dogs” and “Assassin’s Creed: Black Flag,” and “Forza Motorsport 5” from Turn 10 Studios. Though the said video is a bit sketchy, some who got to see it are hoping that a game or two would tally with the said forecast.
Meanwhile, September’s list contains titles like “Mirror’s Edge,” an adrenaline-filled title from game developer EA DICE that went out eight years ago. The game is situated in a Utopian city known as Glass and will be free to download starting Sept. 16.
Another AAA game on this month’s list is “Assassin’s Creed Chronicles: China” made by Ubisoft where the protagonist, Shao Jun, is set to re-establish the crushed Brotherhood in China. It will be made available two days from now up until Oct. 15.
Moreover, another game which is an indie title that was recently released as part of this month’s Games with Gold roster is dubbed “Earthlock: Festival of Magic.” The game was developed by Snowcastle Games and will be free of charge for the rest of this month.
Lastly, the racing title from Playground Games entitled “Forza Horizon,” the fifth installment in the racing franchise, is deemed to be free to download only until Sept. 15.
