It’s the tail end of July, and gamers are now looking forward to the new titles that will be included in the Xbox Games with Gold list for August. There are rumors that the list for Xbox One and Xbox 360 games will include triple-A titles, including a western action-adventure video game, and an action-puzzle title.
The Bit Bag speculates that “Red Dead Redemption” could be one of the titles that will be listed in Games with Gold next month. The title from Rockstar Games is set in 1911 and follows the adventures of John Marston, a former outlaw whose family was taken hostage by the government in exchange for his services as a hired killer. Widely considered as one of the greatest games of all time, it was rumored that Rockstar is about to release a second installment of the game next month.
Another game available in the Games with Gold roster for August is “Tumblestone,” which is actually part of July’s lineup. The game is the first original action-puzzle game of the past fifteen years. Though Microsoft has yet to release the August list, “Tumblestone” will be free for members from July 16 to Aug. 15, so even if it’s part of the July lineup, members can still have the game free of charge within those dates.
Another game predicted to show up on the roster is “Sleeping Dogs: Definitive Edition.” In the open world action-adventure game, gamers get to play as Wei Shen, an undercover Hong Kong-American police officer who was assigned to infiltrate the Hong Kong mafia. The game, which was released by Square Enix in 2012, will surely be a welcome addition to the August Games with Gold list.
For now, members can still get some of the games listed on the July roster for free. Apart from “Tumblestone,” both “The Banner Saga 2” and “TRON: Evolution” are free until July 31.
