Microsoft’s rival, Sony, will release its PS Plus free titles for the month this week. Therefore, Microsoft made sure they were one step ahead through its Games with Gold offerings for May 2017.

Xbox One and Xbox 360 owners can now download “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II” from May 1 to 15. Additionally, “Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut” went live for Xbox One from May 1 to 31. Another game from the Star Wars franchise, “Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga,” will become available beginning May 16 until the end of the month, also on the two Xbox consoles.

Meanwhile, gamers can download “Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris” for free starting May 16. The game is free until June 15 on Xbox One.

Initially released in 2010 by LucasArts, “Star Wars: The Force Unleashed II” features a plot where players need to reclaim their lost identities. To do so, they need to defeat Darth Vader. Players get to use twin light sabers and a big push from the Force. “Giana Sisters: Twisted Dreams – Director’s Cut,” on the other hand, is a platform game developed by Black Forest Games. The developer managed to raise $150,000 to fund the game via Kickstarter.

“Lego Star Wars: The Complete Saga,” is a game released in 2007 and based on the Lego Star Wars toys. “Lara Croft and the Temple of Osiris,” on the other hand, is an action-adventure game. It features a four-player co-operative multiplayer mode where gamers can choose to play as Lara Croft and Carter Bell. This mode also lets them play the role of the imprisoned gods Isis and Horus.

On the flipside, Sony will release new titles for the Instant Game Collection of PlayStation Plus (PS Plus) starting May 2, according to PlayStation Lifestyle. The games include “Abzu” (PS4 North America only), “Tales from the Borderlands” (PS4), and “Alienation” (PS4, Europe only).

Also included in the PS Plus free games list this month are “Type: Rider” (PS4, PS Vita) and “Laser Disco Defenders” (PS4, PS Vita). “Blood Knights” and “Port Royale 3: Pirates and Merchants,” both available on PS3, are also offered for free.
