'X-men: Apocalypse' updates: New poster released; Psylocke versus Deadpool?

A few more weeks before the release of “X-Men: Apocalypse,” more spoilers are coming out to make X-Men fans more excited about the upcoming Memorial Day movie.

Sources revealed exclusively to Den of Geeks that “X-Men: Apocalypse” will introduce a new members of the famous mutant team including Tye Sheridan, Sophie Turner, and Alexandra Shipp. The same report also stated that “X-Men: Apolcalypse” is the “standard bearer for the next generation of mutant-based films.”

Moreover, the report claimed that Den of Geeks was given a copy of the latest poster, displaying the images of the villains. The poster shows Apocalypse, also known as En Sabah Nur, played by “Star Wars: The Force Awakens” actor Oscar Isaac, and his Four Horsemen.

Den of Geek’s report added that the horsemen are Magneto (Michael Fassbender), Psylocke (Olivia Munn), Storm (Alexandra Shipp), and Archangel (Ben Hardy). The report described them as “servants of the rocks on the eternal shore.”

Psylocke herself, Olivia Munn, gave a teaser when she posted a video on her Instagram account and captioned it as “#Psylocke v. #Deadpool #xmen #pocalypse.” The video showed Munn practicing her sword skills which she would use presumably in case she battles Deadpool.

The movie’s trailer started with a disturbed Jean Grey (Sophie Turner) talking about her dream where she saw the end of the world and felt the death of the people. The trailer also showed how Raven and Professor X (James McAvoy) will lead a team of young X-Men to defeat Apocalypse, the first and most powerful mutant from Marvel’s X-Men universe who was awakened after tens of thousands of years.

The phrase “Only the strong will survive” from the official website promises an extreme action-packed adventure film to look forward to this Memorial Day.

Directed and written by Bryan Singer, with co-writers Simon Kinberg, Michael Dougherty and Dan Harris, watch out for the release of “X-Men: Apocalypse” on May 27 in theaters.
