WWE Fastlane rumors: Reigns or Ambrose to take on Triple H in WrestleMania

The annual Fastlane pay-per-view event of WWE will be coming in less than two weeks, with predictions, match cards, and rumors coming in.

Last month, WWE had its Royal Rumble event, where Triple H won and became the new WWE Heavyweight world champion. The Road to WrestleMania 32 continues as Dean Ambrose, Roman Reigns, and Brock Lesnar go against each other in a triple threat match. The winner among the three contenders will fight Triple H in the main event of WrestleMania 32.

According to speculations, Reigns may emerge as the winner of the upcoming event. However, rumors do not dismiss Ambrose, as he may be a dark horse in the Fastlane event.

There are predictions that the two will first be teaming up against Lesnar before going fist-to-fist. Nonetheless, there are also rumors that Reigns and Ambrose may opt not to team up in their upcoming fight, as they need to be identified as individual wrestlers, especially with the disparity in their “fame.”

Aside from the three contenders, Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson will also appear in WrestleMania 32. It is still uncertain what role will he play, with speculations saying different things, including as a host, as a special referee, or as a surprise contender.

Meanwhile, according to Daily Wrestling News, The Rock’s appearance, as well as Lesnar’s supposedly surprise inclusion in the roster, is a leeway for the WWE creative team to have more options in case The Rock will fight.

It is still uncertain which among the rumors and predictions will come true. Fans will find out when the Fastlane pay-per-view event happens on Feb. 21 at the Quicken Loan Arena in Cleveland.

The upcoming Fastlane is the second event that bore the name, replacing Elimination Chamber, the former event that comes in between Royal Rumble and WrestleMania.
