'WWE 2K17' roster update: Over 20 new names announced; the Four Horsewomen are complete

The “WWE 2K17” roster is now complete with 24 new names in the final reveal, including Bayley, Big Boss, John Cena and more.

According to Forbes, the highlight of this week’s and the final “WWE 2K17” roster reveal is the Japanese wrestler Asuka. The NXT Women’s Champion’s entrance as a character in the title can be seen below.

Unfortunately, the video did not showcase Asuka’s in-game moves. It is unknown if her real-life moves in the ring can be rendered accurately in the game, but the report noted that she looks good so far.

There were 24 wrestlers announced in total, which include the last member of the Four Horsewomen of NXT, Bayley. The other members, Sasha Banks, Charlotte and Becky Lynch have already been announced previously.

It seems that 2K Games is making things right by bringing all four women into “WWE 2K17.” Last year’s title did not include the group, The Inquisitr reported, much to the disappointment of fans. Instead of adding them, they announced Primo and Epico. As a result, many did not fully enjoy the offerings of the video game.

Other popular names that were recently added to the roster include John Cena, Seth Rollins, “Stone Cold” Steve Austin, Dean Ambrose, Undertaker, and more. The 24 additions increased the total count of the roster to 130, which is reportedly the largest in the franchise’s history.

However, it still did not include Koko B. Ware, as per GameZone. Another big name that 2K Games omitted is Kurt Angle, but it is said to be not a big deal.

“WWE 2K17” is set to be released on Oct. 11 for Xbox 360, Xbox One, PlayStation (PS) 3 and PS4. Players can expect an improved ladder match mechanics and a more fluid gameplay, although there are some things that may still need fixing.

Watch out for more updates.
