'WWE 2K17' release date: 2K Games reveals Brock Lesnar video and Suplex City Census update


2K Sports, game developer for the upcoming and highly anticipated game, “WWE 2K17,” recently revealed the first installment of the Suplex City Census, as well as the roster of fighters in the World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE) that would be coming to the game as playable characters. Aside from that, the game developer also revealed a full entrance sequence video for “The Beast Incarnate,” Brock Lesnar.

In a recent press release, 2K Games revealed the first part of the Suplex City Census update that would be coming to the game. Being the first of five upcoming installments, there would be a number of new fighters that would be coming as residents of the Amusement Park, which is one of the interactive online neighborhoods in Suplex City.

The first installment would be including 19 different warriors from the WWE universe, three of which are Hall of Famers. The roster is made up of Aiden English, Booker T, Brian Pillman, Brie Bella, Chris Jericho, Diego, Erick Rowan, Fernando, Heath Slater, Jey Uso, Jim Neidhart, Jimmy Uso, Konnor, Larry Zbyszko, Nikki Bella, R-Truth, Simon Gotch, Ultimate Warrior, and Viktor.

In addition to this, 2K also showcased the complete entrance sequence of one of the sport’s most beloved and most iconic fighters to ever have graced the ring. Lesnar was showcased in a new video from the upcoming game. In real life, Lesnar had long left the sport of wrestling and went on to pursue his dream of becoming a fighter in the octagon of mixed martial arts (MMA), in the Ultimate Fighting Champion (UFC) league. Up until now, Lesnar is still active with his career as an MMA fighter in the UFC.

“WWE 2K17” is now available for pre-order. The game would be released on Oct. 11 for the PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360, Xbox One, and for the PC.
