'WWE 2K17' release news: Season Pass includes 4 DLC Packs, to be released March 2017

Ahead of its public rollout, fans of the forthcoming “WWE 2K17,” receive more information about the game as a description for the Season Pass has been leaked, courtesy of a listing found on the Xbox Store.

As it turns out, the Season Pass will include 4 packs of downloadable content (DLC), along with the promise of a lot of bonus content to those who would like to avail of it. Interestingly, it does not however cover MyPlayer Kick Start to the dismay of “WWE 2K17” fans. The aforementioned feature enables fans to amplify stats and ratings right away for the superstar of their choice.

Other than that, no specific information with regard to the Season Pass was made public, only that the extra content that will come with it will be available starting March 31, 2017. Even the price it will cost gamers has yet to be set.

There are speculations that these bundles will most probably include roster expansions with the first one out of the game to be the NXT Superstars DLC coming in the NXT Edition of “WWE 2K17.”

However, for gamers who do not want to wait until next year, 2K Sports is also offering some enticing pre-order bundles. This includes access to two different versions of wrestling icon Goldberg. On top of that, the WCW Monday Nitro and the Halloween Havoc venues will also come as pre-order freebies.

The official announcement for the upcoming iteration from the “WWE 2K” series reads,

“Coming off the heels of WWE 2K16, which earned critical press and fan acclaim including an 8.8 out of 10 from IGN.com WWE 2K17 arrives as the reigning and defending flagship WWE video game franchise champion with stunning graphics, ultra-authentic gameplay and a massive roster of WWE and NXT’s popular Superstars and Legends.”

“WWE 2K17” will feature legendary wrestler and mixed martial artist Brock Lesnar on the cover. It will arrive on PlayStation 3, PlayStation 4, Xbox 360 and the Xbox One on Oct. 11.
