The latest WWE video game features an immense roster of pro wrestlers, and an ESRB rating that is sure to give fans a blast from the past.
According to the Bleacher Report, the new video game, WWE 2k16, will not adhere to an equivalent of TV’s PG rating. Instead, it appears that it will even be more violent and will be more provocative than its real-life counterpart.
The ESRB rating statement revealed some of the mature content that can be expected from the game. For instance, wrestlers are depicted with blood on their faces are being repeatedly subjected to punches or being hit by objects while in a match.
In addition, players can also see footage of wrestlers imbibing liquor or spraying the liquid on opponents using a high-pressure hose.
There will also be women wrestlers in revealing outfits and like the male wrestlers, they will also be make provocative gestures.
With the game’s release only a month away, the final 23 wrestlers that will be included in the game’s official roster has been released.
According to IGN, the list includes the American Badass and Ministry versions of The Undertaker, as well as Stunning Steve Austin, Sting’s 1999 and Blonde incarnations, Viktor, Xavier Woods, Savio Vega, Mickey Shipwreck, Enzo Amore, Jimmy and Jey Uso, and Big E.
The Bleacher Report noted that WWE 2k16 has passed over many wrestlers in favor of including various versions of one character, i.e. three versions of Undertaker and Stephanie McMahon.
In any case, the final announcement brings the official roster for WWE 2k16 to 123 wrestlers. Popular wrestlers like Triple H, Big Show, Andre the Giant, Shawn Michaels, Vince McMahon, Mankind, Bret “The Hitman” Hart and the British Bulldog have been confirmed to be part of the game.
