Newest version of widely popular wresting simulation franchise, “WWE 2K16,” will have a downloadable content pack dubbed as “Legends” that will feature some of the World Wrestling Entertainment’s fan-favorite fighters.
The DLC will include six superstars for in-game use such as Big Boss Man, Mr. Perfect, “Rowdy” Roddy Piper, Trish Status, Lita, and “The American Dream” Dusty Rhodes alongside new and varied attack moves. There will be a total of 30 options to choose from.
The attacks feature Avalanche Ram made popular by Diva Paige, Corner Ezuigiri by Diva Nikki Bella, Dragon Sleeper by Superstar Finn Balor, Standing Crossface Chickenwing by Superstar Stardust, and Sidewinder Suplex by Superstar Kevin Owen.
2k Sports, the game’s publisher, revealed that the DLC can be purchased for $8.99, but those who have a Season Pass can download it for free. It will become available on Dec. 22 for both the Xbox One and Xbox 360.
“WWE 2K16” now has more than 120 playable characters which nearly doubles the 67 members of the roster from last year. However, despite their reportedly relentless effort to have Sasha Banks, Charlotte, Becky Lynch, and Bayley or the so-called Four Horsewomen of NXT, they will not appear in the game.
Meanwhile, a companion smartphone application called “WWE 2K16 Creation Studio” has now been released.
The app which was originally planned to arrive with the full game in October allows players to have their personal photos be imported to the game and use as the fighter’s face after some editing.
Aside from personalizing the wrestler’s features, the app can also upload logos for use in 2K16 Creation modes. Logos that can be imported can be put as designs to arenas, championship belts, billboards, tattoos, and many more.
The WWE 2K16 Creation Studio app is available for download on iOS and Android devices, while “WWE 2K16” is currently rolling out for Xbox One, Xbox 360, PlayStation 4 and PlayStation 3 consoles.
