'Wonder Woman' movie release date, cast: is the title going to change? First image, cast details revealed


Warner Bros. Pictures announced that filming alrady started for the 2017 DC Extended Universe film “Wonder Woman.” Along with the announcement, the company also shed light on the film’s casts as well as the first image from the stand alone film.

In a press release by Warner Bros. Pictures, it was revealed that filming had already began, and it will be within the areas of the U.K., France, and Italy.

However, the studio did not refer to the film as “Wonder Woman.” Only described as the “Wonder Woman feature film,” could this mean that a final title for the film has not been decided yet?

The “Wonder Woman” film will star Gal Gadot as Diana Prince/Wonder Woman. She will be joined by Chris Pine, who will be playing Wonder Woman’s love interest Captain Steve Trevor. Aside from the two lead actors, all other actors mentioned still have an unspecified role in the film.

Sad Taghmaoui (“American Hustle”), will also be featured in the film. The actor recentlyseemingly unintentionallyleaked a number of set photos from the film, showcasing an image of himself with co-actor Chris Pine wearing clothing that looked like they were from the World War II era. His social media posts had already been taken down.

Other actors starring in the film include Robin Wright (“The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo”), Danny Huston (“Clash of the Titans”), David Thewlis ( “The Theory of Everything”), Ewen Bremner (“Exodus: Gods and Kings”), Elena Anaya (“The Skin I Live In”), and Lucy Davis (“Shaun of the Dead”).

“Wonder Woman” is directed by Patty Jenkins and will be released in 2017.
