'Witcher 3' DLC gives gamers new Nilfgaardian armor and weapon set for Geralt includes three elite crossbows


Open-world role-playing game The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt has got its third set of free downloadable content (DLC) packs. The third release of the DLC pack gave players the #% and #6 free DLCs out of the promised 16 free content.

For this week’s free DLC pack, players got a set of new armor and weapon for the main character Geralt. According to a post in PlayStation Lifestyle, the two new contents are as follows:

  • Nilfgaardian Armor set (File size: 30.3MB – Crafted from the finest materials available, the Nilfgaardian Armor Set includes a jacket, gloves, pants, boots and horse tack.
  • Elite Crossbow set (File size: 7.4MB) – three new crossbows – Bring down your enemies with lethal accuracy and extend your tactical possibilities with this elite crossbow DLC.

GameSpot was lucky enough to have an exclusive pre-release access on the new game contents and try them out for a gameplay test run. In the gameplay video, players who have yet to download the new content got to see how Geralt’s new armor and set of weapons do well in the game.

Additionally, the game report also mentioned and confirmed where players can buy the new set or equipment for Geralt upon download of the DLC pack. The armor set and Nilfgaardian crossbow can be purchased from the Barons Quartermaster in No Man’s Land. Also, the Skellige crossbow can be bought from Skellige Kaer Trolde Castle Blackmsmith. Lastly, the Elven crossbow can be purchased from the Novigrad Fancy Shop Owner.

According to PC Gamer, players will get the new DLC pack depending on how they bought they game. Steam players won’t have to worry anymore for they will automatically receive the updates. GOG customers would have to subscribe for the free DLC to be able to make their download.

CD Prokejt Red is still set to deliver 10 more DLC, out of the promised 16. Additionally, two expansion packs were previously announced, promising to expand the gameplay time for up to 30 hours.
