'Watch Dogs 2' release date: Ubisoft give hints of the sequel being developed through a pair of sunglasses

There has not been really any announcements with regards to “Watch Dogs,” but there might be hints that a sequel may be on the way and is already being developed by Ubisoft.

“Watch Dogs” is an open world game that has a third-person perspective. The game revolves around a very skilled hacker named Aiden Pearce. He has the ability to hack through people’s gadgets seamlessly and other kinds of devices as well. The game had favorable reviews from the gaming community. It offered something new to gamers, but it seems that the world will be more expansive because there may be new announcements in the upcoming Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) for the sequel.

Another clue why the second installment of the franchise may be in the works is because of a gift box. A certain YouTuber named The Rad Brad uploaded an image of what Ubisoft sent him and it appears that he received a ray-ban sunglasses with the “Watch_Dogs” logo embedded in the case.

However, fans are wondering why Ubisoft did that because even the YouTuber did not know why he received the gift box. This was not the only clue that the public has found out. An uploaded photo in Instagram by Cort King, an actor, gave hints that there will be a new main character.

Another reason why the sequel is being expected on E3 2016 is because the CEO of Ubisoft, Yves Guillemot, has told in a meeting with investors that the next title will give players a gameplay that would be innovative. He has also claimed that “Watch Dogs 2” will raise the bar compared to its predecessor.

There is no confirmed date yet for the release of the sequel, but if it would be announced at this year’s E3, the game may come out on 2017.
