Chinese telecommunications company, Vivo, is looking to release their new flagship phone this year in Vivo XPlay 5. In the past months since numerous specs and hardware rumors were leaked, the smart device has been on the radar of a lot of tech websites around the web.
Phonesreview.uk chalks the hype of the phone on its supposed 6GB RAM which will propel its running capabilities to greater heights. Now that the official launch date of the phone has been announced, it will only take a short while before it hits the shelves.
As reported by media outlet Gizchina, Vivo’s teaser points to March 1 at exactly 07:30 P.M. when the viewing public will get their first glimpse of the much awaited Vivo XPlay5. The teaser came in just a few moments after the company released a teaser for the phone’s specifications.
Speaking of specifications, the phone is purportedly going to sport a dual curved screen panel that would give the phone an edgeless and borderless look. This will be one of the phone’s many selling points but since Vivo would be one of the pioneers in such category, following Samsung, who will also be the one supplying the panels, it would arguably capitalize on this new offering.
On top of the curved edge, rumored specs of the phone include a 6-inch full touch screen display complete with Quad HD resolution. Under the hood, a Snapdragon 820 processor will join the supposed 6GB of RAM as previously mentioned. It will run on 4000 mAh battery and will also be featuring a Hi-Fi audio.
The Vivo XPlay 5 will come after two years following the Vivo Xplay 3s which was the first Chinese manufactured smartphone to feature a finger print scanner. Fortunately, if these rumors end up being true, the phone may be worth the wait after all.
