Vin Diesel is a very busy man with many projects under his name.

According to Cinema Blend, Diesel will be returning to the Marvel Cinematic Universe’s second entry into the Guardians of the Galaxy franchise, once again providing the voice for the humanoid tree Groot, who was last seen as a sapling at the end of the credits for the first GoTG film.

The confirmation was given by GoTG director James Gunn on Facebook. The article reported that, initially, a fan had inquired about Diesel’s involvement in a third Guardians of the Galaxy film, to which Gunn quickly replied with a “Yes.”

Screen Crush clarified that it was a typing error on the part of the fan, and that the question was about Guardians of the Galaxy 2.

Aside from Diesel and the rest of the main cast, Tyler Bates will also be returning to provide the score of the second film, Christian Today reported.

Diesel is also set to work on the third film in the XXX franchise, Entertainment Weekly said.

The actor himself broke the news to his fans through his Instagram account. Through his post, Diesel said that he will be filming his return as Xander Cage in the Philippines starting in December of this year.

“While I was filming XXX, guys on set called me Air Diesel,” he wrote on Instagram. “The time to return has come.”

Diesel is also attached to the eighth Fast and Furious film as both an actor and executive producer.

Although series producer Neal Moritz said in an earlier interview that the production team is still focusing on developing the screenplay, actor Ludacris hinted hinted during the Teen Choice Awards that the film will be beginning production next year.

“Furious 8 is happening,” the actor is quoted by Access Hollywood as saying.

“We start shooting next year,” he added.
