Vikings season 4: Comic Con will show exclusive sneak peak; Fans can win sunset cruise with show's cast during SDCC

First look of History’s “Vikings” season four will be previewed at the upcoming Comic Con at San Diego Convention Center with some cast and crew in attendance.

Exclusively reported by Deadline earlier this month, officially participating for the panel on July 10 are stars Travis Fimmel, Katheryn Winnick, Clive Standen and Alexander Ludwig. Joining them are creator and writer Michael Hirst, together with History’s executive vice president Dirk Hoogstra.

During the convention, there will be a setup called Bludgeon Booth, a cinematic booth equipped with multiple slow-motion cameras. Fans can create their own battle using special effects while wearing authentic costumes inside. Afterwards, they can share the clip on social media.

Another feature includes the transformation of San Diego’s popular “Seal Boat” into a Vikings Longship. The boat will actually allow people to sail the harbor on July 10 and 11, offering several stops at various points of Gaslamp locations. Upon disembarking the boat, fans can avail of free Viking Horns, a drinking vessel for beer which will entitle holders with discounts in various eating places and bars during the event.

Additionally, selected fans of the historical drama will have a chance to win a sunset cruise with the cast of the show aboard Vikings Longship.

IGN also shares the cover of the official Vikings comic book to be given at attendees who either participates in Bludgeon Booth or the Longship.

The artwork done by Anthony Spay features Floki, Ragnar and an injured Lagertha. Its story was written by Hirst with Ralph Tedesco and Joe Brusha as script writers. While the inside artwork was illustrated by Dennis Calero.

Season four is slated to air on 2016 with confirmed three new characters: Scandinavian warrior, King Harald Finehair; younger brother to the king, Halfdan the Black; and a Chinese character, Yidu. Actors playing them are Peter Franzen, Jasper Paakkonen and Dianne Doan, respectively.
