UnREAL news: Arielle Kebbel says Britney is back and has the upper hand; Producers mulling spinoff about Faith

Britney is back with a vengeance as Lifetime’s hit show, “UnREAL” airs for its season finale.

In an exclusive sneak peak, she makes a dramatic entrance during a wedding gown fitting and said, “How many times are you going to have to barf to make that fit?”

Arielle Kebbel who plays Britney on the show mentioned that her character has the “upper hand,” “Here’s the good news: she knows they need her to be back, so now she’s got the upper hand. There’s going to be a little cat-and-mouse going on between [Rachel] and Britney. Listen, Britney’s back to win, but she’s also back to have some fun.”

Moreover, during a panel held at Paley Center for Media in Beverly Hills for the season-ender, co-creators and co-writer Gertrude Shapiro and Marti Noxon shared that it was very important for them to portray Faith’s closeted lesbian character right. They said that even though gay marriage is now legal across all states, some people still experience difficulties when it comes to their civil rights, USA Today reports.

Noxon also teased that they are thinking about creating a spinoff which will revolve around Faith as the main star who will have lady contestants competing for her heart. He referred to the possible titles to be along the lines of “Raising Faith” or “Keeping Faith.”

Meanwhile, Shapiro addressed the recent comments made by “The Bachelor” longtime host Chris Harrison who revealed that he finds UnReal “terrible.”

“We’re glad he saw it,” the creator answered. She further said that their audience now looks at some dating reality series differently as they may have gained a wider perspective on how they are usually filmed, US Weekly reports.

The report added that Shapiro actually worked as an assistant to a producer on The Bachelor from 2002 to 2004.
