Uncharted 4:A Thief’s End finally has a release date and the much awaited game is set to come out on March 18, 2016.
This may come as good news to some but there may be some fans who are disappointed that the rumors of an October 31 release did not materialize, according to a report by PC Advisor.
Prior to the announcement, fans were already informed by Naughty Dog that the game was taking longer to develop and that it will need to defer the release to March 2016, in order to deliver the “high standards that gamers have come to expect from a Naughty Dog title.”
The PS4 exclusive will also be getting a single player DLC, which is the first time in the third person action franchise.
The announcement was made by Naughty Dog’s Arne Meyer, who explained that what inspired the studio’s move to develop the DLC was the positive feedback they received for the single player DLC of The Last of Us Left Behind.
“It worked really well for us for The Last of Us. We thought we could put together a really great piece of content as well for Unchartered 4,” Meyer said in the Only SP interview.
He said that the DLC will be made available through the Uncharted 4: Triple Pack which also includes other multiplayer content like rare items.
Prior to the release of Uncharted 4 and the single player DLC, Sony will be releasing a 500 GB PlayStation 4 bundled with The Nathan Drake Collection of Uncharted games, reported Eurogamer.
The bundle packaged as Uncharted: The Nathan Drake Collection will reportedly be released on October 9 and carries a price tag of $400.
The Nathan Drake Collection includes remastered Uncharted PS3 games one-to-three (Drake’s Fortune, Among Thieves, Drake’s Deception).
