'Tom Clancy's The Division' news: some Season Pass holders claim they can't redeem freebies after latest update

Following the rigorous three-hour system maintenance last week, Ubisoft has rolled out brand-new bi-monthly treat for “Tom Clancy’s The Division” Season Pass holders.

The video game developer has announced that gamers of the third-person shooter title will now be receiving three brand-new items every 1st and 15th day of the month.

An excerpt of the mechanics which was posted on the official website for “Tom Clancy’s The Division” reads, “With update 1.3, we implemented the first version of the Season Pass events. Twice a month. Season Pass owners will see an exclusive supply chest drop outside of the Dark Zone in the streets of New York. Its location will be indicated on the map, and the chest will be protected by a group of level 32 NPCs. By opening the chest players will receive 3 items of High-End or Gear Set quality adapted to their Gear Score. A new chest will automatically drop and replace the old one on the 1st and 15th of each month, so make sure to claim yours before the next drop!”

Ubisoft claims that this is their way of letting their fans know that they do appreciate the support that they have gotten since launching “Tom Clancy’s The Division.” On top of the aforementioned update, a brand-new one, dubbed as update 1.4, will level up the original schematics with “exclusive drops with random locations, as well as increased frequency.”

While the rewards system sounds so good, some gamers made their grievances known when they were unable to locate the supposed exclusive chest full of freebies last July 15. Some of them commented on the website that even after waiting a couple more days for the rollout to be executed, they still have yet to redeem their freebies. Moreover, another handful can’t even seem to get the game started.

Ubisoft has yet to respond to the issue.
