'Tom Clancy's The Division' news: Open beta begins; Tobii integrates eyetracking technology for game

With Ubisoft set to start its open beta for “Tom Clancy’s The Division” across all platforms, which will run from Feb. 19 to 21, participants will be able to get a firsthand look at the much anticipated game which will be released on March 8.

Xbox One players already had a head start with their 24-hour early access exclusive on Feb. 18.

Meanwhile, Ubisoft released the official Open Beta trailer which game enthusiasts observed to might have taken one decade to complete as it featured generations of open-world shooters, Techno Buffalo reported.

Meanwhile, gamers seeking to level up their gaming experience for the “The Division,” would be happy to know that they can soon get a Tobii eye tracker device that is compatible with the PC version of the game.

The device will enable the player to access a wide range of eye tracking features for the game such as tagging and marking the enemy simply by looking at them. This is very handy for highly competitive players, especially for the multiplayer mode as they would not need to tap another key to tag their opponent, reported Endgadget.

While the Swedish company has made the device compatible for games like “DayZ,” this will be the first time that players will be able to use the Enemy Tagging Feature which enables them to mark enemies for their allies.

The device also enables players to move around easily as movements as a simple eye movement can help them aim weapons or even select locations on a map.

Based on the trailer, the features available with the eye tracking integration are Cover at Gaze, which enables players to look at an object and find cover from enemy fire; Clean UI which enables them to access nfo at a glance with less on screen distractions; Aim at Gaze which enables players to take aim exectly where they look; and Infinite Screen which enables players to enlarge their field of view by looking at the edge of the screen.
