'Tom Clancy's The Division' DLC news: 'Underground 1.3' update to bring new gears on June 28

The Electronic Entertainment Expo (E3) has just wrapped up and one of the highlights that was featured during the said event was for “Tom Clancy’s The Division.” It was only a short announcement by Ubisoft but it was exciting at the same time.

There will be two new downloadable content (DLC) packs that will be available, specifically titled “Underground” and “Survival.” Aside from the two DLCs to be offered, Ubisoft also previewed the arrival of patch 1.3 which will arrive alongside the “Underground” DLC. In the upcoming patch update, there will be new gears and weapons available that will surely change how the gamers play “The Division.”

As mentioned in iTechPost, one of the new gear sets that fans may expect is the B.L.I.N.D. gear. It has the capability to make a player fully resistant to being blinded and killed. Players who already have all four pieces of the set will cause a flashbang explosion while killing another player. In addition, it can also create maximum-powered pulse damage towards opponents.

Firecrest, the second gear, is more destructive and offensive than the B.L.I.N.D. gear and focuses more on strategy. The Firecrest gear will surely burn the player’s enemies down. Opponents will slowly burn as they are attacked by incendiary bullets. During this time, the player will also have capability to reload quickly in order to kill the enemies in sight faster.

If the player’s strategy is to defend his allies, then the Front Line gear will surely boost his defense. With two pieces of the gear collected, players can maximize their ballistic shield health to 300 percent. Thus, they will be able to last longer in the battlefield.

From what has been revealed, these new gears will surely be a game changer when released. It will also boost strategic play during battles with opponents.

The new “Underground” DLC, along with the patch 1.3 update, will be available on June 28 for the Xbox One. It will be made available for PlayStation 4 and PC users on Aug. 2.
