Following a tweet denying E3 release of the Titanfall 2 game, another update came up: the release date needs to be slated for Electronic Arts in 2017 according to a report by the Venture Capital Post. After the tweet of studio boss Vince Zampella – “For everyone asking, we aren’t showing anything at E3 this year. I’ll get to actually see all the games!” – the Chief Financial Officer of the company weighed in on the subject and finally put an end to endless rumors of release dates in the gaming community and among individual fans.
To be exact, CFO Blacke Jorgensen is pegging the release at a period between April 2016 and March 2017.
Respawn Entertainment already previously disproved that it will be released this year despite various talks or rumors among gamers. They did, however, confirm that the release of the upcoming Titanfall version 2 will include multiple platforms and will account for a much better or a highly improved gaming experience according to a report by IGN. The company also clearly stated in the tweet that no other game will be released at E3.
The first release is for Xbox 360, Xbox One, and desktop computers or laptops.
At this moment, development is still definitely underway, trailing from Zampella’s statement way back March with IGN reporting: “So we’re working on a sequel. No official name yet, but we’re working on that,
“Over the last few months, the bosses across different departments have been coordinating in warding or dispelling rumors of an earlier release.
As of the date of posting, the last official news from Titanfall’s official website was still during the anniversary of Titanfall in March 11. The Digital Deluxe edition with the season pass remains to be the most updated product in the franchise while the gaming community awaits for version 2 to be up and running.
