Tim Tebow news: Fans petition to bring player back to Denver Broncos

Fans started a petition online to bring back Tim Tebow to the Denver Broncos to fill in for the quarterback position.

The online petition, which was organized on Change.org, was started by a concerned fan. The petition was started two months ago, just before Peyton Manning announced his retirement from the game. The petition did not receive a good amount of attention at first, but was recently brought to the spotlight as it almost has 10,000 signatures at the moment.

According to the petition, the recent retirement of Manning led the Denver Broncos to have a hole to fill in when it comes to powerhouse players for the team. Following that, Brock Osweiler left the team and signed with the Houston Texans instead. Since then, the team has tapped former Philadelphia Eagles quarterback Mark Sanchez and even went on to try and lure in to their team San Francisco 49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick.

Despite the team drafting University of Memphis quarterback Paxton Lynch in the 2016 NFL Draft, Broncos fans are still worried that the team does not have a powerhouse player. Such a situation, according to the petition, is perfect for the return of Tebow to the game.

“Coach Gary Kubiak’s offense would thrive with Tebow under center,” the online petition read. “He and the legendary John Elway can make this happen. We dont need a subpar throwaway from some other team, we need an original Bronco who has the fire, desire, and love of the game to play as a Bronco again! As a bonus the Bronco fans would be ecstatic! He just wins, we all know this!”
