“The Walking Dead” season 7 premiere is just a couple of weeks away and on Oct. 23, the answer to the question on everyone’s mind since season 6 ended will be revealed. Who did Negan (Jeffrey Dean Morgan) whack with his barbwire-covered bat Lucille?
While fans are still wondering whose head he bashed in with the bat, sources believe two heads may be caving in instead of one. Executive producer Greg Nicotero is directing the premiere episode this season and he was on AMC’s “Geeking Out” recently. According to Nicotero, the episode would upset the audience, and he also said there’s more to the episode than that scene.
“You’re gonna be mad. It was the hardest episode I’ve ever directed. There’s so much more that happens in that episode that is more heartbreaking than that moment, that by the time the episode’s over it’s almost too much.”
An article on The Inquisitr suggests that Nicotero may be hinting that Negan kills more than one member of the group. There have been rumors circulating over the past months saying Negan’s victim will be Abraham (Michael Cudlitz), but someone, possibly Daryl (Norman Reedus), would attempt to stop him.
The rumor says Negan would not target Daryl after the outburst and he would kill Glenn (Steven Yeun) instead. It should be noted that Glenn was Negan’s victim in the source material, so his name was always going to appear whenever people talk about Negan’s potential victim in the TV series. Are two heads better than one?
As of this moment, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt as details for the premiere episode have yet to be revealed.
Meanwhile, “The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman was at New York Comic Con this week and he said his lips are sealed as he won’t be revealing who Negan kills. He also said that the original plan was to kill off Negan after four or five issues in the comics.
