“The Walking Dead” has gotten a little bit real for actor Norman Reedus, widely known as Daryl Dixon in AMC’s horror drama TV series. He was bitten by a female fan on his chest last weekend during the Walker Stalker Con at the Meadowland Exposition Center in Secaucus, New Jersey.
According to a report from Undead Walking, Reedus, 46, was doing a meet-and-greet and having some photo opportunities for his fans. When an unidentified female fan took her turn and approached Reedus, she reportedly told him about how she likes to pretend that she is married to him, then the fan suddently bit the actor’s chest. The security personnel at the event were reported to have taken the woman away from the convention saying, “Um.. Ma’am. You just bit Norman Reedus.”
The same article mentioned that there are screenshot photos taken from the fan’s Instagram account. The fan posted about the incident saying that she is sorry but her account was set to private which is unavailable for viewing.
Luckily, Reedus did not suffer any serious injury. The bite did not break through his skin and Reedus did not seek any medical attention. He reportedly just continued to sign autographs for the other fans of the AMC’s “The Walking Dead” series. There were no press charges filed against the fan but she was banned from all Walker Stalker Conventions in the future where the actor is going to be present.
Reedus later posted a hilarious response photo via Instagram showing himself wearing a top that says, “Do Not Bite Me.” The caption of the photo says, “Um please don’t.”
This was undoubtedly a strange experience for “The Walking Dead” star. The series is currently on a winter break and the next half of the season 6 will air in February next year.
