Fans are eagerly awaiting the return of “The Walking Dead” for its season 6B and the arrival of Negan, the latest big bad villain who will terrorize Rick Grimes and his people. However, there is one more new character which will bring a new flavor to the show.
According to “The Walking Dead” creator Robert Kirkman, the new character, Jesus, who will be played by Tom Payne, will be a fun character and win the hearts of the fans because of his unique skills developed from years of surviving the apocalypse.
“At this point in the life of the series, my thought is the apocalypse has been going on for so long, the people you encounter in your day-to-day life have to be extremely skilled. And they’ve been surviving for a reason, whether they were at a place like Alexandria that’s very safe, or they’re a great leader of their group and somewhat sadistic but in control of their group like Negan, or someone who’s an absolute, complete badass like Jesus,” he said in an Entertainment Weekly interview.
Meanwhile, Lauren Cohan, who plays Maggie in the series, recently sent fans to a frenzy after cutting her hair. Fans panicked over the drastic change in her hairstyle fearing that this could mean that she will not survive the season.
While sidestepping questions about her new hairstyle, Cohan expressed excitement over her character’s pregnancy and the fact that she and Steven Yeun’s character Glenn, will soon become parents amid the chaos that surrounds their “family.”
“Since the apocalypse is the only life that they have, I do think it’s a good idea. I think that they want to bring life into this world and in season 3, Maggie says to Glenn ‘We’re not, but if we would’ve been it’s ok, you can’t live your life in fear.’ You can’t avoid having the full experience that your body allows you to have, because of these zombies, basically. So yeah, I’m really excited for Maggie and Glenn to have a baby Magglenn,” she said in an interview with Celeb Buzz.
