After the several episodes allotted for the auditions as the judges of “The Voice” season 10 continue to choose the artists who will make up their team, the battle has finally begun, with the coaches stealing some contestants.
From Christina Aguilera’s team, Tamar Davis and Shalyah Fearing sang “Lady Marmalade” by Labelle. Their coach opted for Davis, but Fearing was not sent home as Pharrell Williams stole her after telling her that she deserves to be in the show. Aguilera’s team also had another performance later in the show, where Chelsea Gann and Kata Hay competed. Although the decision seemed to be geared toward Gann, the coach chose Hay to stay.
On the other hand, Blake Shelton’s team saw the performance of Justin Whisnant and Mary Sarah with the song, “Louisiana Woman, Mississippi Man” by Loretta Lynn and Conway Twitty. Although both of the contenders showcased their strengths, Shelton opted for Mary Sarah to continue in the competition.
Meanwhile, Jessica Crosbie and Nick Haeglin performed “Electric Feel” by MGMT under the team of Williams. The song number looked more fit for Haeglin and it was not a surprise when his coach chose him to stay. However, similar to Fearing, Crosbie was given another chance when Adam Levine stole her.
The team of Williams also saw Hannah Huston vs. Maya Smith performing “Elastic Heart” by Sia. Both artists had some mistakes, but they were able to pull it off. In the end, Williams chose Huston to stay, but Smith was also given another chance, after Aguilera stole her.
As for Levine, contenders Natalie Yacovazzi vs. Nate Butler performed “Hollow” by Tori Kelly. The fight was close, but eventually it was Butler who stayed in the team.
Meanwhile, in a blog by Buddy TV, it said that the team of Aguilera has the best chance of winning this season because of several reasons. It highlighted the coach’s talent, as well as her ability to make the right decisions compared to the rest of the mentors. In addition, the report believed that Aguilera learmed from her previous mistakes.
Nonetheless, “The Voice” season 10 has still a lot of competitions to go and may take some unexpected turns at any time. Fans will still have to wait to find out who will stand strong until the end of the show. “The Voice” season 10 will air the next episodes on Mar. 21 and 22.
