Mystic Falls native turned werewolf Tyler Lockwood (Michael Trevino) returns in the upcoming, brand-new installment of The CW’s supernatural drama “The Vampire Diaries” season 8.
Titled “You Decided That I Was Worth Saving,” episode 3 will have Damon (Ian Somerhalder) on a downward spiral. This leads him to Tyler who attempts to talk some sense into him before everything is too late. However, it appears that he will not be successful in helping the vampire.
Since Sybil (Nathalie Kelley) was able to worm her way into Damon’s mind, replacing Elena’s (Nina Dobrev) memory with her own, the Salvatore vampire has become loyal to her. In the promotional trailer for the upcoming episode, she sends Damon to kill Bonnie (Kat Graham). Meanwhile, he also wreaks havoc during what is supposed to be a happy time for Caroline (Candice King) as she prepares for her wedding to Stefan (Paul Wesley).
It is deemed that Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will also be threatened since Bonnie cares deeply for him. The witch will find herself at the center of a deadly game which forces her to choose between two of the most important people in her life.
Elsewhere, Alaric (Matt Davis) researches a mysterious artifact that he hopes will help them in their fight to get Damon and Enzo back.
Down the line, episode 4 dubbed “An Eternity of Misery” features Damon being tasked with finding a mysterious artifact. His latest mission takes him to Texas where he will have a violent run-in with Peter Maxwell (Joel Gretsch), leading to a surprising revelation.
After gaining the upper hand in their fight to save Damon and Enzo, Stefan and Alaric team up and uncover the origin of the mysterious force they are up against. Matt (Zach Roerig) will also return when his past and present collide in an unexpected way.
Season 8 episode 3 of “The Vampire Diaries” is slated to air this Friday, Nov. 4 at 8 p.m. ET. It will be followed by episode 4 on Nov. 11.
