The battle to bring down Rayna continues in the next episode of “The Vampire Diaries” season 7.

Back in episode 14, titled “Moonlight on the Bayou,” the vampires attempted to bring down the supernatural being Rayna (Leslie-Ann Huff). In the next episode, Stefan (Paul Wesley) and Valerie (Elizabeth Blackmore) will try their best to look for other means that can help them defeat their enemy, while Damon (Ian Somerhalder) will also look for his own ways to do it.

Titled “I Would For You,” the official synopsis on TV.com reads, “Stefan and Valerie search for a magical herb that will keep him hidden from Rayna; Damon plots to take Rayna down for good; Stefan questions his future with Caroline; Matt decides it is time to take a stand against the vampires of Mystic Falls; Damon races to complete unfinished business with Stefan and Bonnie.”

In the promotional trailer, the sneak peek showed dramatic scenes between the brothers, with Stefan telling Damon how everything and everyone was sacrificed for him, but the latter still betrayed them. Stefan ended his speech by saying, “It’s nice knowing you.” The upcoming episode may also see a time jump as the snippets show Damon waking up from the coffin.

Meanwhile, viewers who are fans of the on-screen former love team of Damon and Elena, played by Nina Dobrev in the previous seasons, may be saddened to see the former has decided to move on to Bonnie (Kat Graham). However, executive producer Julie Plec said that this is not a betrayal as Elena told Damon to continue making the most out of his life as she succumbed to deep sleep, which he did, said Australia Network News.

As for the future of their relationship, Plec admitted that she cannot assure yet, “I can’t comment on future pairings because my mind changes a lot.”

“The Vampire Diaries” season 7 will air episode 15 on Mar. 4 at 8 P.M. ET on The CW.
