Season 7 of The CW’s supernatural romance drama “The Vampire Diaries” is coming to a close featuring Damon Salvatore (Ian Somerhalder) making his ultimate sacrifice for the sake of his friends.
Titled “Gods & Monsters,” Damon, Enzo (Michael Malarkey), and Caroline (Candice King) realize that despite their best efforts to help Bonnie (Kat Graham) from the harrowing predicament she is experiencing, their options are running out fast. It seems like drastic measures are needed to be taken.
As they found out that the only chance of saving their friend lies inside the Armory, Stefan (Paul Wesley) will break the news to Caroline that she needs help from an unlikely source. Alaric’s (Matt Davis) twin babies that she is carrying will have to play a crucial part in their plan.
Meanwhile, Enzo (Michael Malarkey) will keep Bonnie preoccupied as he brings her back to their cabin. However, in an unexpected turn of events, it will be up to Damon to make the ultimate sacrifice to save his closest friends.
In a sneak peek, the brothers are talking to each other with Stefan asking Damon, “This thing on the vault, do we know what it is?” and the latter simply replies, “Bad.” Stefan also tells Caroline, “Whatever you’re about to say, say it when this is over.” The footage then reveals a montage of action-packed scenes showcasing the armory being opened. It ends with Damon having an apparent incredulous look on his face while saying, “Elena?”
Although it seems like Elena (Nina Dobrev) may make a guest appearance, speculations suggest that Damon will be affected by the magic that lies within the place and realizes that he can be good despite not having the love of his life by his side. He is predicted to make a deal with Alex and save Stefan’s life.
“The Vampire Diaries” season 7, episode 22 is slated to air on Friday, May 13 at 8 P.M. EST.
