This week on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” Melissa Gorga opened her new boutique, while Teresa Giudice got to work on writing and recording the print and audiobook versions of her prison memoir. Later, Teresa confronted her husband, Joe Giudice, about cheating rumors while she was in jail.
Melissa was preparing for the grand opening of her boutique, Envy, but her husband, Joe Gorga was not completely on board with her being away from the house and their kids. Joe called Melissa to come home because she needed to take care of their children, but she told him that he should do his part at home. Joe reminded her that working “wasn’t part of the deal” when they got married.
Teresa worked on her book and headed to a meeting with her publisher to see the cover. On her way to her audiobook recording session, Teresa talked to her lawyer about the rumor that her husband cheated while she was in jail.
Siggy Flicker met up with Teresa for rock climbing and the new Housewife asked the mother-of-four where the tabloids get their material. Instead of losing her temper, Teresa calmly took the question in stride.
At the Envy opening party, Siggy told Jacqueline that Teresa was not the least bit upset when she asked about the rumors, and Jacqueline was very surprised at the new, mellow Teresa. After the party, Teresa asked her husband if he cheated on her, saying that she wouldn’t be able to forgive him if he did.
Teresa took to her Bravo blog one day after the episode aired, starting off by saying that she appreciated how Siggy went directly to her to ask about the tabloid stories rather than talk about it behind her back.
The cookbook author also confirmed that the cheating rumors weren’t true.
“They weren’t true, and I was glad to set the record straight about it,” said Teresa.
The reality show will be taking a short break and will be back on Aug. 14 with a brand new episode. In episode 5, titled “Dinner Interrupted,” the Lauritas host the Giudices for dinner and old tensions between the ladies quickly boil over.
In a preview which aired on “Watched What Happens Live” (via E! Online), Teresa said that the last time she was at Jacqueline’s house, she attacked her on the porch. Jacqueline denied this, but Teresa insisted that she felt ambushed at the time.
Talk turned to the tabloid rumors and Teresa said that they weren’t true at all. Things got heated when Jacqueline said, “We wouldn’t file fraudulent bankruptcy like you did.”
“See, that’s a [expletive] low blow,” Teresa replied.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
