This week on “The Real Housewives of New Jersey,” the ladies celebrated the Christmas holiday with their families, and this led to the reconciliation of Teresa Giudice and Melissa Gorga. Meanwhile, Joe Giudice was not happy about daughter Gia going out with her friends on New Year’s Eve.
Teresa was adamant about making things right with her and former enemies, so at the Giudice/Gorga family Christmas dinner hosted by Melissa, the cookbook author approached her sister-in-law and told her that she knows that her brother would want them to be close. Melissa wants the same thing, and later, the two ended up bringing up all past wrongs. However, everyone was able to breathe a sigh of relief after the ladies made up.
At the Giudice New Year’s party, Joe was furious over the fact that Gia wanted to spend New Year’s Eve with her friends. Teresa urged him to let the 14-year-old go, and Joe relented but he told his daughter to be home before midnight. Joe noted that if Teresa wasn’t home, Gia would be staying. Gia then screamed at her father that she wasn’t going to be home before midnight, but later, upon returning home, she cried and gave her dad a hug and told him that she loves him.
“You got to do the right thing while I’m not here,” said Joe to his eldest, referring to his impending imprisonment.
On her Bravo blog, Teresa said that she didn’t like to hold on to anger. The mother-of-four admitted that everybody got a little nervous when she and Melissa went to the kitchen to talk.
“I’m so glad we got to have that heart to heart, just the two of us, alone,” said Teresa. “I wanted to let her know that I came back with a different frame of mind that I just wanted peace in our lives and I wanted to start everything off on a positive note.”
Next week, in the episode titled “Leopard is the New Black,” Jacqueline Laurita surprises Teresa by showing up at her doorstep wanting answers. Meanwhile, Melissa shops for her new boutique, but hits a roadblock with her opinionated business partner.
Elsewhere in the episode, Siggy Flicker throws Dolores Catania a true Jersey Birthday Party with leopard everything to make her feel more confident, but Kathy Wakile and Rosie Pierri end up feeling on the outs.
“The Real Housewives of New Jersey” airs Sundays at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
