Fans of “The Real Housewives” franchise know that every season, the ladies head out and go on a vacation either by themselves or with their significant others. Things are no different for the upcoming season of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta,” and it was reported that the ladies will be heading to Maui, Hawaii for their trip in season 9.
It looks like Bravo opted to film somewhere closer to home as the ladies of Atlanta went to Jamaica in season 8. In season 7, the Georgia Peaches headed to the Philippines as they tried to mend their relationships with each other. This time around, it looks like some of the ladies will be trying to do their best to get along with their exes, as Cynthia Bailey’s ex-husband, Peter Thomas, is joining the former model and her friends in this season’s getaway, according to Tamara Tattles.
Last year, Cynthia announced that she had separated from Thomas, telling the Daily Dish that she is “taking some time to myself to figure out how I want to move forward.” In July, the 48-year-old told E! News that they were getting a divorce but didn’t want it to be ugly as she still loves Peter.
Tamara Tattles reports that apart from Peter, Sheree Whitfield’s ex, Bob Whitfield, will also be joining the Maui trip in season 9. Right now, the only Atlanta couple who are still together are Kandi Burruss and Todd Tucker, and the website claims that the two will also be in Maui.
It will be interesting to see how Cynthia and Peter’s dynamic will change as they are currently working on their divorce. As for Sheree and Bob, fans are aware that the two have always gotten along with each other though they are divorced.
Cynthia, Sheree, and Kandi will be joined by Phaedra Parks, Porsha Williams, and Kenya Moore in the upcoming installment.
Season 9 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” premieres on Sunday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
