After a long wait, the first trailer for season 9 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” is finally out. Along with the first promo of the season, the Bravo show’s main cast has also been revealed.
In the clip, it can be seen that Cynthia Bailey, Kandy Burruss, Kenya Moore, Porsha Williams, and Phaedra Parks are all returning for the new season. “RHOA” alum Sheree Whitfield, who returned as a “friend” of the Housewives last season, is back as a main cast member for season 9. Sheree was part of the main cast from seasons 1 to 4.
Meanwhile, neither NeNe Leakes nor Kim Zolciak-Biermann was seen in the trailer. It was rumored that the two might be returning for the new season, but Kim recently denied rumors that she was returning to the Bravo series, telling E! News, “I’ve not even been asked to be on this season, so I don’t know, it’s weird.”
For the latest installment of the hit reality series, the ladies of Atlanta will be dealing with divorce, bomb threats, and new drama as some of the women start feuding over different matters.
It appears that Sheree and Kenya will be duking it out this season as the two bickered over whose mansion will be finished first. Kenya starts off by calling Sheree a derogatory name, and when the former beauty queen walks away, Sheree asks why she’s running away from her unfinished house. In a signature Kenya move, she twirls before heading out.
Meanwhile, it looks like Phaedra is in trouble as Kandy tells the others that Phaedra’s former client “came to her office with a grenade.” Phaedra is seen talking to Kandi’s mom, who tells her that the man was looking for her and he was going to blow her up.
As for Cynthia, the preview sees her consulting with her lawyer as she says that she wants to divorce Peter Thomas, but her husband isn’t giving up easily as Peter tells his friend that he loves Cynthia.
Kenya also appears to be having some relationship trouble with boyfriend Matt Jordan. Matt’s behavior has been scaring her as Kenya tearfully tells the ladies that he kicked in her hotel room door and that he was “just mad and hitting walls.” Later, Kenya and Matt are seen arguing as he asks her, “What did you do last night? What did you do?”
Season 9 of “The Real Housewives of Atlanta” premieres Sunday, Nov. 6 at 8 p.m. ET on Bravo.
