While the fourth season of “The Originals” won’t be coming out until sometime in 2017, fans have already begun coming up with theories on what will happen next season. So, what lies ahead for the Mikaelsons?
It was revealed a few months ago that there would be a five-year time jump between season 3 and season 4, so that means Klaus (Joseph Morgan) and Hayley’s (Phoebe Tonkin) hybrid daughter, Hope (Summer Fontana), should be seven years old when “The Originals” returns. Unfortunately, Klaus is still going to be in a comatose state due to the excruciating pain caused by Papa Tunde’s (Owiso Odera) blade buried in his chest.
Reports say Hope will find a way to free her father from the blade. As the world’s first werewolf-witch-vampire hybrid, she may have some hidden untapped power that can wake Klaus from his coma. There are also rumors saying Caroline (Candice King) will appear and aid Klaus. They do share a special bond. Is a crossover between “The Originals” and “The Vampire Diaries” going to happen in the future? It is also rumored that Katherine (Nina Dobrev) may appear and end Klaus once and for all.
While fans are still debating on who will save Klaus, several reports have been saying that the series may be canceled after this season since “The Vampire Diaries” will end after its eighth season. There is also talk of ABC picking up the series, however, it should be noted that this is not verified at all. Cutting the number of episodes this season also did not help calm the fears of the series’ fans.
In the meantime, readers are advised to take everything with a grain of salt since details for the upcoming season have yet to be revealed. If it so happens that season 4 is the final season for “The Originals,” then fans should try to enjoy the show as much as they can instead of worrying about the end.
