Even if the sequel of “The Incredibles” is still at least three and a half years away, there are already rumors and speculations about the film.
One of the persistent rumors is about the youngest member of the Parr family, Jack-Jack, who unleashed his powers to defeat Syndrome (Jason Lee) toward the end of its first film. Although he played a hero in the initial film, there are speculations that Jack-Jack will turn into a villain in the sequel, which will take place six years after “The Incredibles,” as he is unable to control his power.
According to Breathecast, Jack-Jack may even be stronger in “The Incredibles 2,” possessing different powers such as shapeshifting, floating, shooting lasers, teleporting, turning into fire, being bulletproof steel, or even becoming a small monster.
Aside from this, there are also rumors that Syndrome, who was already defeated in the first movie, will come back to reprise his role and will even expand his evilness as he will be the man behind influencing Jack-Jack to turn against his family and teaching him his evil ways, said Master Herald.
Meanwhile, there are also speculations that both that Helen (Holly Hunter) and Bob (Craig Nelson) will retire as Elastigirl and Mr. Incredible. They will hang their capes in the sequel as their children Violet (Sarah Vowell) and Dash (Spencer Fox) will take the lead roles in saving the world.
Nonetheless, there is no sure way of confirming the credibility of all these rumors and thus should be taken with a grain of salt at the moment. “The Incredibles 2” will return the big screen on June 21, 2019.
While waiting for the sequel of the movie, fans may also look forward to other animated films slated next year, namely, “Cars 3” on June 16, 2016 and “Finding Dory,” on June 17, 2016.
