While the anticipation continues to build for the premiere of the last installment in the widely popular franchise, “The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2,” fans have been treated with official clips from the film.
In an all-brand new footage, Peeta Mellark tells Katniss Everdeen what happened to him when he got hijacked by The Capitol, “When they used the venom on me, they would show me pictures in my life. At first they all blurred together but now, now I can sort them out a little. Like the ones that they changed, they have these qualities like they’re shiny. They’ve been glossed over.” To which she replied, “You should get some rest.”
When he asks, “You’re still trying to protect me… real or not real?” Katniss immediately answered with, “Real, that’s what you and I do, keep each other alive.”
Meanwhile, another video titled “Old Friends” has the protagonist talking to Johanna Mason during Finnick Odair’s wedding.
Johanna derisively says, “You saw Peeta didn’t you? Will you tell him hi for me? We’re old friends, you know. We have adjoining cells in The Capitol, we’re very familiar with each other’s screams.”
Katniss then shared her ultimate plan when the rebellion fully rolls out, “I’m going to kill Snow. Nothing good is safe when he’s alive and I can’t make another speech about it.” Johanna triumphantly laughs at her statement and ends the clip stating, “Now you’re talking.”
Meanwhile, Jennifer Lawrence who portrays Katniss shared during a press conference that she feels like she is “aging like a president.” This year’s highest paid actress stated that she does not like waking up without goals and going to sleep without achieving something.
Even though she would really like some time off, she said that she is aware of how important the movies and the characters are that she has the privilege to be a part of, “I want people to be able to lose themselves when they’re watching a movie and not see the same character.”
The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2 is slated to hit the big screens on November 20.
