The Good Wife season 7 news: Archie Panjabi, Matthew Goode move in; Cush Jumbo joins cast

With ‘Good Wife’ is all set to make a comeback this fall with season 7, news is that Archie Panjabi and Matthew Goode won’t be in the next season. However, Cush Jumbo will be joining the cast.

Cush’s role is still not detailed yet, as the writers are still figuring it out. Michelle King, the creator of the show, speaking to TV Guide, said: “We’re still figuring out exactly [her role], but we’re not suggesting that Cush will be an investigator or take on that role.”

The plot for the next season is more likely to concentrate on the relationship between Alicia Florrick and her campaign manager Jonathan Elfman.

In the previous season, Finn tells Alicia that he is trying to make his relationship with his wife, and that he thinks the decision about the partnership should not be made yet because of their relationship.

Meawhile, Alicia’s husband, Peter decides to run for Vice Presidency of the US but he announces that he will not run unless his entire family approves.

So in the next season, we will get to know if Alicia will take up Louis Canning’s offer of making partner with him or not, as her decision will affect her relationship with Diane Lockhart and Cary Agos.

Carrie Preston, who plays the role of lawyer Elsbeth Tascioni, has expressed over Twitter that she wants to be in on the next season. She tweeted, saying, “If they bring me back, I don’t know how they’ll top penguins in my head, treadmill desks and I making out in my office, but I’m sure they’ll find a way!”

On the other hand, Juliana Marguiles’s character Alicia, who’s going through a kind of a mental disturbance, will most likely be seen going in for therapy, next season, according to a report by Christian Today.
