After Barry (Grant Gustin), Cisco (Carlos Valdes) and Wells (Tom Cavanagh) visited Earth-2 to assist the latter in rescuing his daughter from Zoom, they now need to go back to Earth-1 to keep protecting Central City. Meanwhile, Earth-2’s Flash, Jay (Teddy Sears), will still be temporarily taking over Barry’s role against the meta-humans on Earth-1.
The official synopsis for season 2 episode 14 posted on Futon Critic reads: “On Earth-2, the team races to find Zoom’s lair and asks for help from the most unexpected source. Meanwhile, back on Earth-1, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) rushes to perfect Velocity-9 so that Jay (guest star Teddy Sears) can stop the Geomancer (guest star Adam Stafford). J.J. Makaro directed the episode with story by Todd Helbing & Aaron Helbing and teleplay by David Kob (#214).”
Currently, they are all racing against time to beat Zoom, who happened to defeat the Flash in a previous episode with no effort at all. The only way to win over Zoom is by making him slower. However, Wells simply cannot help out Barry with his speed getting better unless he rescues his daughter first, the reason why the trio is on Earth -2. They have 48 hours to complete their mission or the portal on Earth-1 will be closed down, as previewed by the episode trailer.
Due to this dilemma, neither those on Earth-1 or Earth-2 can afford to slack off in episode 14. Since Barry is on the other Earth, Caitlin (Danielle Panabaker) and Jay (Teddy Sears) will be busy fighting with Geomancer on Earth-1.
Geomancer is a meta-human who can create pinpointed tremors or earthquakes. He is also described as a person with very keen interest in defeating the Flash in Central City, and will use his power to bring out the hero speedster in the open, as reported by Screenrant.
In the previous episode, Barry had the chance to meet several familiar faces on Earth-2: his Earth-1 family, Iris, and Joe. Plus, he also met Killer Frost and Deathstorm, and Barry was stunned and surprised by the unusual encounter.
“The Flash” season 2 episode 14 will be aired on Feb.16, 8 p.m. EST, on The CW channel.
