'The Expendables 4' cast to include WWE stars Johnson and Hogan? Sylvester Stallone to leave film?

Rumors are still circulating online that WWE stars Dwayne Johnson and Hulk Hogan might be included in the star-studded team of “Expendables.” Others say that even Jackie Chan might join the fourth film in the franchise. Despite the unconfirmed list of cast, the film is revealed to start production this fall.

As of this time, the film outfit has not released the official list of cast members. Yibada reported that Dwayne Johnson and Steve Austin would most likely be included. It also added that Johnson might be the new villain, as the star previously said that he preferred to not be included in the team of mercenaries.

Meanwhile, there are speculations that Stallone will no longer be part of the movie after his co-star Terry Crews mentioned in his interview with Slash Film back in January that he thinks that Stallone might no longer do action films if he wins an award for doing dramas like “Creed.”

“I’m just thinking he’s got options now. As well he should. He should think about what his next move is going to be, what he’s going to do. ‘Creed’ was amazing, amazing. It showed his depth and he’s a lot deeper than people always give him credit for,” Crews explained.

In another report, Movies with Butter claimed that “Expendables 4” will most likely target Chinese viewers as the previous sequels earned significantly in this market, unlike in the U.S. The post said that “Expendables 3” gathered $73M in 2014 in China, while the U.S. box office grossed only $39M.
