Leonard’s mother will visit his son and will meet Penny in the upcoming episode of “The Big Bang Theory” season 9.
In the previous episode, Penny (Kaley Cuoco) went for a wine tasting with the rest of her friends expect for Sheldon (Jim Parsons) and Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) and comes across her ex-boyfriend Zach (Brian Thomas Smith).
In the upcoming episode, she will meet her mother-in-law Beverly, portrayed by Christine Baranski. However, it will not be an easy encounter because Penny will struggle to communicate and connect with her. Back then, the two have remained civil with each other, but when Penny encounters her this time, she will somehow try to win her. Still, her efforts may not come into fruition as Beverly is more interested in conversing with Sheldon. A sneak peek of episode 23 shows Penny getting more frustrated with the attempts, while Beverly will not be affected by it.
On the other hand, Sheldon will be his usual eccentric self and will hire Stuart (Kevin Sussman) to cover for him as the date of Amy (Mayim Bialik) while he goes to watch a movie screening.
