The season 9 finale of “The Big Bang Theory” surprised a lot of viewers with several stories that suggested a new season is definitely in the works. Perhaps there is no other television show right now that had more cliffhangers than the previous season.
Now, the latest rumor to surface about the new season of the long running American sitcom is Howard Wolowitz’s (Simon Helberg) reaction to the letter from the Air Force. Obviously, it would make a lot of sense if the showrunners kick off season 10 with the continuation of this scene. To recall, Howard, along with friends Leonard (Johnny Galecki) and Sheldon (Jim Parsons), invented a guidance system designed to detect foreign movement both in land and air, thinking along the way that the equipment will be their instrument to getting rich. It’s pretty exciting to ponder on what the letter from the Air Force contained and if the military wants something from the guys, especially Howard.
In a sit down with Entertainment Weekly, executive producer Steve Molaro played down the role of the letter in season 10, saying that it is never intended to make a big impact on Howard or anyone involved in the project.
But Howard’s story isn’t the only one that viewers await for in the next season, as Bernadette (Melissa Rauch) has her own issue to deal with her pregnancy. It’s not clear if the showrunners plan on adding a new character in season 10, which in this case is a baby; but it definitely is an interesting prospect, especially on what sort of impact will it have on Bernadette. However, Molaro did say that it’s highly unlikely that the baby will be born within the season because they’re treating it just like in real life where it’ll be in Bernadette’s womb for nine months.
Season 10 of CBS’ “The Big Bang Theory” will premiere on Sep 19.
