'The Bachelor's' Ben Higgins news: Reality star interested to compete in 'Dancing with the Stars' after 'The Bachelor'

“The Bachelor” will return early next year, starring Ben Higgins, a 27-year-old software salesman, as the center of attention for the show.

He previously appeared in “The Bachelorette,” when Kaitlyn Bristowe was the star. Aside from him, two other familiar faces will be in the upcoming season, Becca Tilley and Amber James, who previously appeared in the season starring Chris Soules.

Higgins admitted that he was shocked when Tilley and James joined the show, but appreciated the intent of the ladies to meet him, noted International Business Times.

He explained, “It’s really crazy to see every woman show up to this place. I thought the same way about Becca and Amber.” However, Higgins said he did not fully watch Soules’ season in order to avoid any preconceptions about any of the women.

Meanwhile, there are rumors that Higgins will also be in “Dancing with the Stars” season 22 when it premieres in spring next year. Higgins was first seen dancing in Bristowe’s “The Bachelorette” last season as he was trying to impress her.

In a press conference, he revealed that after his life as “The Bachelor” in the mansion, he is interested in competing in “Dancing with the Stars.” He said, “I think I’m excited about what experiences are next in life. Just like I never expected to be in ‘The Bachelorette,’ I never expected to be the ‘Bachelor,’ I don’t know what to expect next and I’m open to anything,” noted a different report from International Business Times.

He added, “I have a great life. I love my life here in Denver. I don’t want to change my life, but if there’s opportunity to enhance it, I’m all for it!”

Before him, other “The Bachelor” stars who have also joined “Dancing with the Stars” were Sean Lowe in season 14 and Chris Soules in season 20. However, no official confirmation has been made regarding Higgins’ participation with the latter reality show yet.

“The Bachelor” season 20 will premiere on Jan. 4, 2016 at 8 P.M. EST on ABC.
