Season 20 of “The Bachelor” is about to conclude as software engineer Ben Higgins is close to choosing his bachelorette. However, fans are anxious as Ben may pull a Jason Mesnick-like move in the upcoming episode.
Back in season 13, the bachelor, named Jason Mesnick, surprised the fans and ladies when he changed his mind after choosing his bachelorette. In the final rose ceremony, Mesnick proposed to Melissa Rycroft. However, in the “After the Final Rose” episode, the former bachelor admitted that he made a mistake and wants a second chance with Molly Malaney. After Mesnick and Rycroft broke up, he and Malaney were married.
In the promotional trailer of the upcoming episode, the bachelor is down to six ladies, Amanda, Becca, Caila, Emily, JoJo, and Lauren B. It revealed that Ben trimmed down his choices to two.
As the sneak peek continued, Ben was seen nervous and uneasy, while he told the camera that he was about to ask one woman to marry him, but he loved somebody else more.
Toward the end of the clip, the limousine arrived, with the winner seated inside the car. However, Ben reached for his phone and called somebody. The suspense was further heightened as the woman, who did not sound like an older person who Ben may ask for advice, said, “Hello?”
Who will Ben choose? Who is the mystery woman on the phone?
Meanwhile, in a write up by Reality Steve, a site that has a good streak of predicting winners of the show, revealed that Ben will not pull a Mesnick move. He said that the final ladies will be Lauren and JoJo, but Ben will not send Lauren away and change his mind, as he will pick her as the final rose and stick to his decision.
Fans will find out when “The Bachelor” season 20 airs “Bachelor at 20: Celebration of Love” on Feb. 14 at 8 P.M. EST on ABC.
